Camp Courageous

Camp Courageous is a 4 day camp designed to meet the needs of children and teens aged 5 to 18, who have experienced the death of a loved one. Campers are selected from throughout Miami County and there is no charge for the camp.
Camp Courageous offers a unique blend of fun camp activities and age specific projects developed to help campers explore their feelings and emotions while regaining inner strength. Here, the campers have the opportunity to meet others their own age who have also experienced the death of a loved one. They discover that others have these same feelings, and it’s okay.
Activities Include:
- Workbooks
- Music
- Guest Speakers
- Group Games
- Art Therapy
- Swimming
- Challenge Courses
Since we cannot protect children from experiencing death in their lives, it is important that we educate and help them understand it. This program is designed to be a special journey of growth as we try to help each child and teen find answers to their questions.
